Job summary

CarMax Laurel is seeking an Auction Services Associate to maintain inventory appearance, prepare vehicles, and support auction operations. You will document, scan, and reconcile stock while ensuring secure, orderly lots and accurate records.

You will participate in training and adapt to a fast-paced environment, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work nights, weekends, and holidays as required. CarMax emphasizes safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily inventory appearance and security while keeping vehicle zones organized.
• Document and track incoming/outgoing inventory through shipping and receiving processes.
• Receive, prepare, and process vehicles—pair locators, capture photos, secure keys.
• Support auction operations by assisting with preparation and execution activities.
• Contribute to new associate training by sharing best practices and safety standards.
• Complete daily inventory scanning and reconciliation for real-time visibility.
• Follow CarMax EH&S requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
