Job summary

CarMax in Rosedale, MD is seeking an Auction Services Associate to maintain vehicle zones, prep inventory, receive and process vehicles for sale or auction, and support overall auction operations with accuracy and care.

You will lift up to 50 lbs, work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and participate in training while following CarMax EH&S standards to ensure a secure and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret, and enter data to maintain inventory records.
• Collaborate effectively with associates across departments.
• Operate in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with strong multitasking.
• Demonstrate inventory management awareness and willingness to learn.
• Commit to CarMax training and follow wholesale/inventory procedures.
• Hold a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., work flexible shifts, and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily inventory appearance and security.
• Document and track incoming/outgoing inventory through shipping/receiving processes.
• Receive, prepare, and process vehicles (locators, photos, keys).
• Assist with auction operations preparation, coordination, and execution.
• Contribute to new associate training with best practices and safety standards.
• Complete daily inventory scanning and reconciliation for real-time visibility.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep work area clean and orderly.
