Job summary

CarMax is seeking an Auction Services Associate in Rosedale, MD. You will handle zone maintenance, vehicle preparation, receiving, inventory scanning, and reconciliation to ensure high-quality saleable inventory and smooth operations. This role requires data accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including nights and weekends.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and outdoor duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Read, interpret, and enter data accurately to maintain inventory records.
• Collaborate effectively with associates across departments.
• Work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Maintain awareness of inventory security and daily operations.
• Follow training and established wholesale/inventory procedures.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. and work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily inventory appearance and security for organized zones.
• Document and track incoming/outgoing inventory through shipping/receiving processes.
• Receive, prepare, and process vehicles with locators, photos, and keys for sale/auction.
• Assist with preparation, coordination, and execution of auction operations.
• Contribute to new associate training and safety standards.
• Perform daily inventory scanning and reconciliation for real-time visibility.
• Follow EH&S requirements and keep a clean work area.
