Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation. The role offers the chance to work with a dedicated team focused on workers' compensation cases and insurance defense across the Carolinas and Georgia.

You will handle complex cases, develop strategies, and advocate for clients through hearings and negotiations. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of workers' compensation experience, a JD degree, and NC Bar admission.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of workers' compensation experience with insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and procedures.
• Proven ability to manage a large caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent research, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication with clients and stakeholders.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethics.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently.

• Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve cases efficiently and favorably.
• Present cases at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials with strong advocacy.
• Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and trends related to workers' compensation and insurance defense.
• Collaborate with team members, paralegals, and staff to ensure high-quality client service.
