Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Represents the BWC Administrator at all levels of Industrial Commission hearings.
• Prepares for hearings by reviewing claim files & analyzing the legal issues involved.
• Interprets laws, rules & regulations; advances legal arguments.
• Reviews all hearing notices & Industrial Commission decisions; interprets orders & decides whether to appeal.
• Prepares & submits appeals, motions & memoranda in support to the Industrial Commission; prepares hearing summary sheets.
• Provides legal advice & consultation to the service offices, BWC administration & staff.
• Reviews claim information requested in subpoenas prior to distribution to requesting parties to ensure accuracy & privacy.
