Job summary

Ohio Attorney General's Office seeks an Assistant Attorney General in the Workers' Compensation Section to represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and the Industrial Commission in various courts. The role requires handling a high-volume caseload with meticulous case management, settlement evals, motions, discovery, and court appearances, with occasional hearings.

A strong appellate writing/advocacy background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio pursuant to Section 4705.01 of the Ohio Revised Code.
• Two years or more of experience working as an Attorney.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio in state, appellate, and supreme courts.
• Manage a high-volume caseload with case management, settlement evaluations, and negotiations.
• Draft appellate briefs and provide oral advocacy when required.
