Compensation: Up to $175,000 annually
Billable Hours Requirement: 1,850 hours/year
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and business-minded Real Estate Attorney to join our legal and advisory team. This role is ideal for a legal professional with a strong background in real estate transactions, entity structuring, and tax considerations.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and joint venture agreements.
- Advise clients on legal and tax implications of real estate transactions, including 1031 exchanges, REIT structuring, and opportunity zone investments.
- Assist with entity formation and structuring for real estate investments, including LLCs, partnerships, and trusts.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure alignment of legal and tax strategies.
- Conduct legal due diligence and risk assessments for real estate acquisitions and dispositions.
- Stay current on real estate law developments and regulatory changes impacting clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with exposure to tax-driven structuring.
- Experience working with real estate developers, investors, or family offices is highly desirable.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
