Job summary

Perma-Seal Basement Systems is seeking an experienced Technical Field Specialist – Attic Insulation to support our installation teams by ensuring every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to Perma-Seal's quality standards.

This hands‑on field position focuses on field support, providing technical guidance and coaching to installation crews across the Chicagoland area to drive continuous improvement and exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on attic insulation installation.
• Understanding of attic insulation systems, air sealing, ventilation.
• Experience identifying installation issues and solutions.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Lead/field specialist experience preferred.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and basic computer software.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support and quality assurance on installations.
• Visit job sites to ensure safety and adherence to standards.
• Observe crews and coach for quality and efficiency.
• Identify installation issues and resolve in the field.
• Perform quality inspections and suggest improvements.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and guidelines.
• Onboard and train new installers through coaching.
• Communicate project progress with homeowners.
• Maintain inspection reports and site documentation.
• Evaluate new tools and methods for efficiency.
• Travel throughout Chicagoland and NW Indiana.
