Job summary

The Leona Group is seeking an Attendance Liaison to monitor student attendance, identify patterns of chronic absenteeism, and partner with students, families, and school staff to promote regular attendance.

You will analyze attendance data, address barriers, conduct outreach, and help develop individualized improvement plans while ensuring policies are understood and followed across the school community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required) with relevant experience with students and families.
• Experience in education or social services related to attendance.
• Experience working with diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily student attendance and identify chronic absenteeism.
• Contact students and families to discuss attendance and barriers.
• Identify barriers and connect families with resources and services.
• Work with counselors and staff to develop attendance plans.
• Maintain records and report attendance trends to leadership.
• Ensure compliance with district and state attendance policies.
• Engage with community organizations to support attendance.
• Stay current with attendance best practices through training.
