Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Solutions Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade Atlassian-based solutions across Jira, Confluence, JSM, JPD, and Assets, with governance and scale in mind. You will manage cloud administration, integrations, and AI-enabled workflows, partnering with Enterprise Technology to implement guardrails and secure access.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years with Atlassian tools, strong API integration experience, and hands-on AI enablement, plus identity/security

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, AI or related technical field.
5+ years with Atlassian cloud tools (Jira, Confluence), including governance and automation at scale.
5+ years integration engineering: REST APIs (GraphQL preferred), webhooks, events, error handling, monitoring.
3+ years scripting/automation: Python or JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).
3+ years hands-on AI enablement: Atlassian Intelligence/Rovo or GitHub Copilot; governance knowledge.
Enterprise identity/security: SSO/SAML, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, least-privilege design.
Requirements/ALM exposure: Jama, Polarion, or PTC Codebeamer; understanding of traceability.

Responsibilities

Design scalable Atlassian-based solutions and governance.
Configure Jira/JSM/JPD/Assets workflows, schemes, automations, forms, and SLAs.
Manage Atlassian Cloud administration, permissions, provisioning, guardrails, audits, and platform hygiene.
Develop integrations and Forge apps, REST/GraphQL APIs, and webhooks/events with robust error handling.
Launch AI-powered workflows with governance including approved use cases, sources, access controls, and guardrails.
