Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Atlassian Platform Engineer to design scalable Jira/Confluence solutions. You will govern workflows, permissions, and automations, while building integrations such as Forge apps, REST/GraphQL APIs, and webhooks.

Lead AI-enabled workflows with enterprise governance in collaboration with Technology partners. The role requires strong scripting skills, cloud administration, and experience in security, identity, and ALM tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI or a related technical field.
• 5+ years with Atlassian cloud tools (Jira, Confluence) including deep expertise in at least one area (JSM/JPD/Assets/CMDB/Goals) and governance at scale.
• 5+ years integration engineering: REST APIs (GraphQL preferred), webhooks, events, error handling and observability.
• 3+ years scripting/automation: Python or JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js).
• 3+ years hands-on AI enablement: Atlassian Intelligence/Rovo or similar, GitHub Copilot; governance
• Experience with SSO/SAML, OAuth/OIDC, RBAC, least-privilege design.
• ALM exposure: Jama/Polarion/PTC Codebeamer; understanding of traceability.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with DX and configuring reports for operations (preferred).
• Forge, app evaluation, Compass/GitHub, CI/CD integrations (preferred).
• Toolchain integration across requirements, delivery, service management, and reporting (preferred).
• Data pipelines and analytics for work management via API extraction (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Take charge of designing solutions on the Atlassian platform (Jira, Confluence) with scalable governance.
• Configure Jira/JSM/JPD/Assets elements—workflows, schemes, automations, forms, SLAs.
• Manage Atlassian Cloud administration, permissions, provisioning, guardrails, audits, platform hygiene.
• Develop integrations and extensions such as Forge apps, REST/GraphQL APIs, webhooks/events.
• Launch AI-powered workflows with governance and guardrails in partnership with Enterprise Technology.
