Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC has an opportunity for a junior-to-mid-level Litigation Associate to join a national law firm’s Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Atlanta. The role centers on bankruptcy litigation, restructuring disputes, creditors’ rights, and insolvency‑related matters with substantial courtroom exposure early in the career.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Interest in bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, creditors’ rights, or commercial litigation.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Federal judicial clerkship or other federal court experience preferred.
• Active membership in the Georgia Bar.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy litigation.
• Assist with Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 matters.
• Handle adversary proceedings, receivership disputes, and creditors’ rights litigation.
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel throughout all phases of litigation.
• Support trial teams through case resolution and appeals when applicable.
