Job summary

Permanent Placements LLC, on behalf of our client, a leading national law firm, seeks a junior-to-mid-level Litigation Associate to join its Restructuring & Insolvency practice in Atlanta. The role focuses on bankruptcy litigation, restructuring disputes, creditors' rights, and insolvency-related matters early in your career.

You will collaborate with experienced restructuring, bankruptcy, and trial attorneys on matters in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, representing Chapter 11 debtors,

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of litigation experience at a law firm.
• Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills.
• Demonstrated interest in bankruptcy, restructuring, insolvency, creditors' rights, or commercial litigation.
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
• Federal judicial clerkship or other federal court experience preferred.
• Active membership in the Georgia Bar.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in restructuring, insolvency, and bankruptcy litigation
• Assist with Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy matters
• Handle adversary proceedings, receivership disputes, and creditors' rights litigation
• Draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and other litigation filings
• Conduct legal research and case strategy analysis
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances
• Work directly with clients and opposing counsel throughout all phases of litigation
• Support trial teams through case resolution and appeals when applicable
