Job summary

Monmouth University seeks an Associate Athletic Director for Facilities and Event Management to oversee operational planning, staffing, and execution of home athletics events. You will coordinate campus partnerships, ensure facility readiness, and manage game-day operations and technology systems.

The role includes budget development, staff supervision, and adherence to NCAA/conference policies, while enhancing the spectator and student-athlete experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as an events coordinator or related role.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to lift/move up to 60 lbs.
• Experience managing event budgets and staff coordination.

Responsibilities

• Direct operational planning and logistics for Monmouth University home events.
• Oversee recruitment, training, and supervision of event staff.
• Manage the event budget, payroll, and expense monitoring.
• Coordinate scheduling of departmental vehicles and maintenance.
• Develop event policies and ensure compliance with NCAA/conference rules.
• Plan personnel and equipment needs for all home events.
• Serve as liaison with Campus Police, Facilities, and partners.
• Coordinate bid submissions and hosting of postseason events.
• Act as primary game-day administrator for event tech systems.
• Maintain event operations policies and a student worker handbook.
