Job summary

University of Connecticut is recruiting for an Assistant Director for Compliance Services to lead NCAA compliance activities within selected varsity programs. You will serve as a primary contact for compliance matters, coordinate with Residential Life and Dining Services, and supervise personnel and various compliance tasks.

The role involves interpreting NCAA bylaws, submitting waivers, and providing guidance to student-athletes, coaches, and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management or related field.
• At least two years of experience in a Division I or II compliance office, conference office, or NCAA national office within the past three years, including NCAA Applications Portal experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of NCAA compliance and ability to apply rules for coaches and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to produce reliable results, exercise good judgment, and problem solve.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Senior Associate AD for Governance and Regulatory Affairs.
• Serve as main compliance office contact for select varsity sport(s).
• Liaise with Residential Life and Dining Services; oversee personnel and outside competition.
• Assist in financial aid, initial-eligibility evaluations, and monitoring of bylaws.
• Provide NCAA bylaws interpretations and submit waivers and reinstatement cases for assigned sports.
• Provide game day support for various sporting events.
