Louisiana Tech University is seeking candidates for Associate Athletic Trainer and Assistant Athletic Trainer in the Sports Medicine unit. This full-time, 12-month position with benefits supports volleyball and softball teams, and reports to the Associate AD of Sports Medicine.
The role focuses on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation, plus education and counseling of student-athletes. Supervising interns and managing medical records are also required.

To assist with the supervision and coordination of the University's overall sports medicine program, including, but not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation, management, and treatment of injuries, short-term and long-term rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Educate and counseling of student-athletes, and athletics related health care administration in consultation with and under the supervision of the Associate AD of Sports Medicine, Team Physician(s) and other qualified medical personnel.
Other responsibilities of the Assistant Athletic Trainer include but are not limited to: supervision of intern athletic trainers, keeping accurate and current medical records for assigned sports, and assist in supervision of athletic training room operations, team travel and other duties as assigned by the Associate AD of Sports Medicine.
Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization, NATABOC Certification, current CPR/AED certification, Licensed or eligible for licensure within the state of Louisiana, and 1 year of directly related professional experience preferred.
$35,000 - $55,000 (based on experience)
