Tulane University is seeking an Athletic Trainer to support the PACT Clinic, coordinating clinical services for former NFL players and eligible participants. You will manage intake, medical histories, referrals, and travel arrangements to ensure seamless access to care through the PACT program.
The role requires NATABOC certification and LSBME licensure within 90 days, with travel up to weekends for events as needed. This is a clinic-based, interdisciplinary position in New Orleans, LA.
The Athletic Trainer is a clinic-based position that serves as a key member of a comprehensive interdisciplinary healthcare team supporting the Professional Athlete Care Team (PACT) Clinic within the Tulane University Center for Sport. This role is primarily responsible for coordinating clinical services for former NFL players and other eligible participants receiving care through the PACT program, which is contracted through The Trust, powered by the NFLPA.
The Athletic Trainer provides high-level operational and clinical coordination support throughout the patient care continuum, ensuring a seamless experience for patients from initial intake through care delivery. Key responsibilities include managing patient inquiries, conducting medical intake assessments, collecting and reviewing medical histories and records, coordinating referrals, verifying program eligibility and insurance coverage, arranging travel and logistical support, and scheduling clinical appointments and procedures. This position plays a critical role in facilitating efficient patient access to care while supporting the overall operations and mission of the PACT Clinic.
