Job summary

City of Round Rock is seeking a Recreation Center Supervisor to lead our new Athletic Performance Center and oversee daily operations, programming, and customer service excellence. This role involves managing a diverse team, developing partnerships, and ensuring safety and quality in a cutting-edge facility.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Parks/Recreation Administration with 3+ years supervising operations in similar venues, plus strong communication and budget skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is required.
  • Three years of progressive supervisory experience in a recreation or multi-use facility.
  • Experience managing indoor/outdoor athletic or recreation spaces and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the recreation center and lead the center team.
  • Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate full-time, part-time, seasonal staff and volunteers.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service and create a welcoming environment for patrons.
  • Monitor revenues/expenditures, prepare forecasts, and manage purchasing and vendor relations.
  • Develop revenue strategies for memberships, programming, and events.
  • Coordinate programs, classes, workshops, and community events with partners.
