Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking a Groundsperson to perform grounds maintenance, repair and prep of athletic fields, and operate grounds equipment around school facilities in Pasadena, MD.

The role requires a high school diploma, some landscaping experience, and ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. A valid Maryland driver’s license is required; CDL is preferred. 30% county travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
• One year of construction, landscape or related experience preferred.
• Ability to use basic landscaping and maintenance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Clear grounds and fence lines; remove debris and hazards.
• Prepare athletic surfaces and maintain fields and turf.
• Repair walkways, fences and playground equipment as needed.
• Operate mowers, tractors and grounds equipment; assist in snow removal.
• Perform other duties within the same classification as assigned.
