Job summary

Summit-Christian-Academy is seeking an Athletic Facilities & Operations Assistant to oversee daily operation, setup, maintenance and safety of all athletic venues for practices, contests and events. You will coordinate with coaches, custodial staff and campus operations to ensure facilities meet standards and provide an excellent student-athlete experience.

You will inspect facilities, manage equipment, assist with weather decisions, and support game-day operations while maintaining compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in athletic coordination, facility management, operations, or coaching preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of athletic equipment and facility operations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as athletic schedules require.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical labor associated with facility setup.

Responsibilities

• Facility setup and breakdown for practices, competitions, and special events.
• Inspect indoor and outdoor athletic facilities and report maintenance needs.
• Monitor cleanliness and presentation of facilities.
• Assist with weather-related facility decisions and field preparation.
• Manage equipment inventory and assist with storage and maintenance.
• Coordinate transportation of equipment between venues as needed.
• Prepare venues for home contests: seating, benches, score tables, officials' areas, signage, field/court markings.
• Coordinate with custodial, maintenance, security, and concessions staff.
• Assist with game-day operations as assigned.
• Ensure compliance with school, conference, and MSHSAA standards.
• Support coaches with facility needs and equipment storage.
