Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods is seeking a Specialist – Equipment Services to deliver personalized service, enable service execution, and drive sales through strong product knowledge. You’ll guide athletes to the right equipment and craft an elevated in-store experience rooted in expertise and connection.

You will join a team focused on coaching peers, upholding store standards, and delivering exceptional experiences to athletes of all abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years of experience
• Previous retail or customer-facing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Delivers an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and provide clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Assists with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as subject matter expert of their area of the store, focusing on best practices and key operational processes.
• Demonstrates efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete-first mindset; ensures products are ready for athletes to purchase and athletes are engaged when, where, and how they want.
• Upholds company merchandising and presentation standards by following established floor set plans, signage requirements, price changes, inventory presentation, replenishment standards, etc.
• Promotes and drives customer participation in company programs (i.e., customer loyalty program participation, warranty sales, private label credit card enrollment, etc.).
• Creates a store environment where everyone, both teammates and athletes, are always welcome and treated with respect; adheres to policies on safety, loss prevention and procedures.
