Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Radar Simulator Operator (RSO) to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City, OK. The RSOs support instruction and training for FAA en route controllers within a simulated environment, ensuring readiness and safety.

The role requires progression toward RSO Certification, involvement in course delivery and development, and on-site duties at the FAA facility.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• 1 year experience in Air Traffic Controller training.
• Experience with air traffic simulation platforms (ERAM or similar).
• FAA-certified Radar ATC at an ATC Level 10+ facility preferred.
• In lieu of experience, military controller certification with radar/simulation training acceptable.
• ATC operations training from military or civilian programs acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conduct and administration of Initial En Route Qualification Training.
• Participate in other courses and ISD projects, including development and maintenance of ATC Training Courses.
• Achieve Radar Simulator Operator Certification by passing written and lab tests.
