SAIC is recruiting an Air Traffic Basics Instructor for onsite training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction to air traffic control students and requires a U.S. citizenship and specific aviation qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in air traffic control and teaching, ensuring adherence to FAA training standards. A minimum of three years' experience as a certified flight instructor is preferred, along with a strong knowledge of ATC operations.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 3 years of experience as a certified flight instructor.
• 3 years of experience as an instructor in an equivalent position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highest quality classroom instruction for air traffic control students.
• Conduct and administer various Air Traffic Basics courses.
• Develop, revise and maintain training courses.

Skills

Experience as a certified flight instructor

Instrument-rated pilot

Experience as a facility-certified Air Traffic Control Specialist (ATCS)

Teaching and/or platform skills

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
