  • Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate.
  • Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs.
  • Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
  • Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
  • Adjunct Faculty cannot be assigned to teach more than the maximum of 12 credit hours per semester.

Position Summary

The Sinclair Astronomy Department offers students anout-of-this-world opportunity to explore the universe andunderstand our place in it. Using the laws of physics, chemistry,biology, and geology, astronomers study the Earth as a planet andeverything beyond its atmosphere. The department prepares studentswith broad problem-solving skills applicable to careers ineducation, research, industry, and public outreach.

The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hourassigned to teach. For the full list of available courses to teach,please explore our coursecatalog .

This position is open only to applicants who residein Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky, or who are able to perform workwithin one of these states. Sinclair Community College restrictspart-time employment to approved states due to employment, tax, andbenefits compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • Must possess demonstrated skills in using modern educationaltechnology, including multimedia-based instruction
