Job summary

CLA is seeking an Assurance Manager or Director to lead audit engagements for financial institution clients within our Financial Services Group. The role can be based in Indianapolis, St. Louis, or Dallas, with duties spanning planning to completion and delivering high-quality audit services.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant experience in audit/assurance.
• CPA required and experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit and assurance engagements from planning through completion.
• Serve as primary client contact, providing proactive guidance and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Oversee engagement budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
• Review audit plans, internal control assessments, and engagement deliverables.
• Mentor, coach, and develop team members through feedback and development.
• Support recruiting, onboarding, and retention of top talent.
• Contribute to business development efforts by strengthening client relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Deliver operational excellence while ensuring profitable engagement execution and exceptional client experience.
