Job summary

Cagayan State University in Orlando, FL is offering a structured on-the-job training program to develop accounting and auditing skills through GAAP and GAAS concepts, following BDO's audit methodology in real engagements.

You will document work in working papers, engage with clients, prepare research projects, and learn to collaborate with Assurance teams, with emphasis on communication and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Accounting (required); pursuing a Master's degree preferred
• Active pursuit of school credits to become a CPA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Participate in a structured on-the-job training program to become familiar with GAAP and GAAS
• Learn BDO-specific audit methodology to assist with various stages of the audit process
• Provide support functions to the audit staff during engagements
• Communicate with clients' customers, creditors, banks, and related parties concerning audit issues
• Prepare and document work in working papers using BDO-specific tools and templates
• Contribute ideas and opinions to audit teams and respond to other team members’ views
• Complete one assigned accounting or audit-related research project and present findings to a panel of Assurance professionals
• Perform other duties as required
