Job summary

BDO is seeking a candidate for our on-the-job training program to become proficient in GAAP and GAAS while supporting audit engagements in Dallas. You will learn BDO's audit methodology and contribute to multiple audit stages under supervision.

You will prepare working papers, communicate with clients, and participate in a research project presented to Assurance professionals. This role emphasizes teamwork, learning, and a proactive attitude to grow toward CPA goals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting (required) and pursuing CPA.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training to learn GAAP and GAAS.
• Learn BDO's audit methodology for various audit stages.
• Provide support to audit staff during engagements.
• Communicate with clients' customers, creditors, banks on audit issues.
• Prepare working papers using BDO tools and templates.
• Contribute ideas to audit teams and respond to feedback.
• Complete an accounting or audit research project and present findings.
• Perform other duties as required.
