Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC in Ridge Manor, FL, seeks an experienced Construction Lead to support the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities on heavy civil highway projects. You will coordinate field crews, monitor safety, and ensure milestones are met.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership, with hands-on involvement at multiple sites, travel as needed, and close collaboration with owners, engineers, and suppliers to deliver quality on

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil/Highway construction.
• Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities to meet milestones.
• Assist in coordinating and scheduling subcontractors, foremen, and crews.
• Monitor site safety and enforce safety standards and procedures.
• Help ensure compliance with contract specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
• Track project progress and assist with reporting on productivity, schedule, and budget adherence.
• Participate in jobsite meetings with the owner, consultants, and inspectors.
• Communicate effectively with field staff, vendors, and project management teams.
• Help identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the Project Superintendent and engineers.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
• Support quality assurance/quality control procedures in the field.
• Contribute to the training and development of craft personnel and foremen.
• Promote and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.

• Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
