Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years in Heavy Civil Highway construction.
  • Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements.
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and adapt to physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and climbing.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Superintendent in daily field activities to meet milestones.
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, foremen, and crews.
  • Monitor site safety and enforce safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with contract specs, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
  • Track project progress and report on productivity, schedule, and budget.
  • Participate in jobsite meetings with owner, consultants, and inspectors.
  • Communicate effectively with field staff, vendors, and project management teams.
  • Help resolve field issues with the Project Superintendent and engineers.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
  • Support QA/QC procedures in the field.
  • Contribute to training and development of craft personnel and foremen.
  • Promote positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil Highway construction.
  • Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements
  • OSHA 10 certification preferred
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication

  • Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
  • Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs
  • Navigating uneven terrain and working in close proximity to heavy equipment
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
