Job summary

Prince Contracting, LLC is seeking a capable field-support professional to assist the Project Superintendent in managing daily field activities for heavy civil highway projects. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, foremen, and crews while maintaining strict safety and regulatory compliance.

You will help track progress, report on productivity and schedule adherence, participate in site meetings with owners and inspectors, and ensure clear communication across field staff and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Heavy Civil Highway construction.
  • Familiarity with FDOT contracts, specifications, and reporting requirements.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Superintendent in managing day-to-day field activities to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Help identify and resolve field issues in collaboration with the Project Superintendent and engineers.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation.
  • Support quality assurance/quality control procedures in the field.
  • Contribute to the training and development of craft personnel and foremen.
  • Promote and maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members.

Job Requirements

  • Standing, walking, bending, and climbing for extended periods
  • Lifting and carrying materials up to 50lbs
  • Navigating uneven terrain and workingin close proximity toheavy equipment
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed
