Job summary

UCP Long Island in Patchogue, NY is seeking an Assistant Residence Manager to help oversee a residential program that supports individuals with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities. You will work with the Residence Manager to ensure exceptional care and lead a team of Direct Support Professionals.

You’ll step into a leadership role when the Residence Manager is unavailable, guiding staff, ensuring safety, and maintaining high-quality services for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 to 6 months of related experience.
• Valid New York State Driver's License and at least 1 year licensed driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of a residential program.
• Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals.
• Ensure staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to provide high-quality care.
• Communicate with families, guardians, and advocates regarding resident progress and well-being.
• Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Support the implementation of individual goals, plans, and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.
• Help ensure compliance with regulatory and agency requirements.
• Provide direct support to residents when staffing needs arise.

About the Role
