Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island seeks an Assistant Residence Manager to oversee a residential program for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will partner with the Residence Manager to provide compassionate, high-quality care and lead a dedicated team of Direct Support Professionals.

Responsibilities include training staff, supervising performance, coordinating with families, monitoring medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safe home environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid NYS driver's license with at least 1 year driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation of a residential program.
• Train, coach, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals.
• Communicate with families/guardians regarding resident progress.
• Monitor medication administration for accuracy and compliance.
• Support implementation of individual goals and services.
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming home environment.
• Ensure regulatory and agency compliance; staff staffing support as needed.
