Holiday Inn Express & Suites Maize is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations and uphold the brand's high service standards. This hands‑on role emphasizes guest experiences, staff development, and collaboration with the Area General Manager to drive overall hotel success.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations, coaching teams across departments, hiring support, ensuring stellar guest service, and monitoring performance metrics to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hotel operations experience; IHG Select Brand experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and supporting teams.
• Guest‑focused mindset with the ability to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with IHG systems (Hotel Key, Merlin etc.) is a plus.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.

About the Role
We’re looking for a hands‑on, people‑focused Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations and uphold the high service standards of our IHG Select Brand property. This role is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives on creating exceptional guest experiences, supporting team development, and partnering closely with the Area General Manager to drive overall hotel success.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Area General Manager in overseeing all hotel operations, ensuring alignment with IHG brand standards
• Foster a positive, team‑oriented culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and employee engagement in line with the Mid‑Continent Hospitality Mission Statement.
• Lead, coach, and develop associates across front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service, resolving issues with professionalism and care
• Monitor operational performance, guest feedback, and service scores to identify opportunities for improvement
