Holiday Inn Express & Suites Maize is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations and uphold the brand's high service standards. This hands‑on role emphasizes guest experiences, staff development, and collaboration with the Area General Manager to drive overall hotel success.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations, coaching teams across departments, hiring support, ensuring stellar guest service, and monitoring performance metrics to identify improvements.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hotel operations experience; IHG Select Brand experience preferred.
• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and supporting teams.
• Guest‑focused mindset with the ability to resolve challenges quickly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Familiarity with IHG systems (Hotel Key, Merlin etc.) is a plus.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hotel operations in alignment with IHG brand standards.
• Foster a positive, team‑oriented culture that prioritizes guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
• Lead, coach, and develop front desk, housekeeping, and food & beverage teams.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
• Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service and resolve issues professionally.
• Monitor operational performance, guest feedback, and service scores for improvement opportunities.
• Support labor management, cost controls, and operational efficiency to bolster financial performance.
• Maintain a visible presence across the hotel, modeling hospitality and service excellence.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards across all departments.
