Job summary

The GEO Group is hiring for a Day Reporting Center role focused on case management and evidence‑based practices. You will assist Case Managers with coordination, documentation, and client progress using the Principles of Effective Intervention.

Requirements include a high school diploma, some college coursework, and six months' experience in human services or with minority populations. This on‑site position offers a full benefits package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required.
  • College coursework in Human Services or business preferred.
  • Minimum six months experience in Human Services or direct participant services preferred.
  • Minimum six months experience working with minority populations preferred.
  • 21+ years of age with driving experience if required to transport participants.
  • Valid state driver’s license and safe driving record if required to transport participants.

Responsibilities

  • Greets participants entering the facility and may conduct drug screens.
  • May perform breath analysis and document results.
  • Completes initial intake, inputs data into the company database, assigns groups and services.
  • Provides general office administration and customer service to participants, customers, and the public.
  • Assists in case coordination and communication with agencies and report preparation.
  • Develops and monitors participant progress and creates treatment plans.
  • Facilitates evidence-based CBT programs and life skills groups; documents attendance and progress.
  • Files, charts, data entry, and may handle payments and deposits.
  • May transport participants using company vehicle; may install/remove electronic monitoring equipment.

Responsibilities

Summary

This position provides case management support for a Day Reporting Center checking in participants and assisting Case Managers with case coordination, case management, and documentation. Learns, uses and models the Principles of Effective Intervention (What Works) through evidence-based practices in all interactions with participants and staff members.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greets participants entering the facility. May complete drug screens according to assigned random schedule for each participant check‑in.
  • May perform breath analysis on each participant who enters the facility for any purpose and provides a written or computerized result.
  • Completes initial intake process with participants to completion, including intake paperwork, input into Company database and assignment of groups and other services.
  • Provides general office administration duties including answering phones.
  • Provides general customer service to all who enter the facility, including participants, customers and the general public.
  • Assists Case Managers with case coordination, communication with appropriate agencies and preparation and distribution of reports.
  • Assists in managing a participant caseload using the Principles of Effective Intervention (What Works). Conducts risk/need assessments and creates individual treatment plans for each assigned participant. Meets regularly with participants and documents participants attendance, participation and progress or regress in Company database.
  • Facilitates evidence-based CBT programs and other life skills programs to participants in groups each week. Documents participants’ attendance, participation and progress in Company database.
  • Develops and monitors the participant’s progress relative to their CMP through all phrases of the program.
  • Files, prepares charts and performs data entry as assigned.
  • May collect participant payments, post payments on Company database, and make daily cash deposits.
  • May be responsible for office opening and closing procedures.
  • May be responsible for installing and removing electronic monitoring equipment on participants and forwarding documentation to the appropriate agencies and the Company monitoring center.
  • May transport participants to the center, community service events, job fairs, employment centers, clinics, using a Company vehicle.
  • May clean electronic home monitoring (EHM) equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • College coursework in Human Services or business discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in Human Services field with direct participant services preferred.
  • Minimum of six (6) months experience working with minority populations preferred.
  • Must be twenty‑one (21) years of age with at least five (5) years driving experience if required to transport participants.
  • Valid State driver’s license and five (5) year record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated by state motor vehicle report if required to transport participants.
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle if required to transport participants.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid computer skills and proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Basic database skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Bi‑lingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required.
  • Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
