Job summary

The George Washington University seeks an Associate Vice President of Advancement Services and Strategic Information Resources to lead analytics, gift processing, and campaign operations within University Advancement.

Reporting to the VP, the AVP will oversee CRM migration, data governance, and partnership with campus IT to support multi-year fundraising campaigns and data-informed decision-making across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area; 10 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Senior leadership/executive level experience in fundraising or university advancement is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Internal Leadership: Function as an internal leader within University Advancement, working with the executive team.
• Strategic Planning & Budgeting: Develop long-range strategic directions for fundraising programs and budgets; track performance metrics.
• Executive Thought Partnership: Serve as a strategic partner on campaign planning, advancement services, and donor pipeline strategies.
• University Alignment & Governance: Collaborate with senior leadership to align advancement operations and ensure proper recording, expenditure, and reporting of philanthropic revenue.
• Institutional Priority Knowledge: Maintain deep understanding of university priorities to align operations accordingly.
