Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our urgent care clinics in the Salt Lake City area. This full-time role focuses on after-hours care for canine and feline patients, handling common urgent cases with a paperless EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

We offer a flexible schedule with swing/second shifts and a strong technical team, enabling a focused urgent-care practice without wellness duties or abdominal surgeries.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of equivalent program).
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Salt Lake City community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours.

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
