Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in the Lexington, Kentucky area provides after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the added expense of emergency clinic fees. We offer single-doctor shifts for common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, in paperless clinics designed for efficient care with cloud-based EMR and IDEXX in-house labs.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited college or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program is required.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state where employed (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Lexington community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours.

Education

DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited college (or EC/FAVE/ECVG completed)

Active license in good standing to practice in the state

Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
