Job summary

American Veterinary Group is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian for our UrgentVet Hospitals in Cordova, TN. This full-time role focuses on after-hours and urgent care for dogs and cats, with single-doctor shifts, wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia.

Clinics are paperless with cloud EMR, digital X-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs. We emphasize flexible swing shifts, a fear-free, feline-friendly practice with a strong technical team and modern hospitals.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD must be from an AVMA-accredited college or successful completion of ECFVG/PAVE program.
• Active license to practice in the state where employed or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Memphis community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

Education

DVM/VMD degree from AVMA accredited college

Active license in good standing to practice in the state

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Cordova, TN area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
