Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in Lakeville, MN seeks an Urgent Care Veterinarian to provide after-hours care for dogs and cats in a single-doctor shift model. The role focuses on wound care, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and humane euthanasia within a modern, paperless clinic equipped with cloud EMR, digital radiography, and IDEXX in-house labs.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or equivalent (ECFVG/PAVE).
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the Lakeville community
• Encourage growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours

Education

DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Lakeville, MN area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
