Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking a DVM to join our after-hours urgent care team. You will provide care for canine and feline patients, focusing on common urgent cases, with a relationship-based approach and strong team support.

You will work in a modern, paperless clinic equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs. A flexible schedule and mentorship are offered to help you grow in urgent care practice.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or equivalent (ECFV/GPPVE accepted).
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the Salt Lake City community.
• Support staff development through internal training programs.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Salt Lake City, UT area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Skills Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
