UrgentVet Hospitals in Chesapeake is seeking a licensed DVM to join our urgent care team. This role focuses on after-hours care for canine and feline patients, with a broad range of urgent cases and a modern, paperless clinic environment.

The successful candidate will work in a flexible schedule, collaborate with a strong clinical team, and participate in internal LevelUp training to grow skills and patient outcomes.

Formación

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the employed state.

Responsabilidades

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Virginia Beach community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours.

Description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Virginia Beach, Virginia area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
