Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in Myrtle Beach is seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our single-doctor, after-hours team. You will provide care for canine and feline patients with a focus on wound management, GI issues, and routine urgent procedures, using a cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and in-house IDEXX labs.

We offer a flexible swing/second shift schedule, a dedicated clinical team, and a modern hospital environment designed for efficient patient flow and excellent client service.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program).
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and the METRO LOCATION community
• Encourage the growth of support staff members through our internal LevelUp training program
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours

Education

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the CITY, STATE area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
