Bachelor’s degree or equivalent insurance-related experience preferred. Experience within wholesale insurance, including underwriting, rating, or account servicing responsibilities. Experience expectations increase across the career path, with progression toward greater underwriting authority and independent decision‑making.
Current state‑specific insurance license required. Additional professional designations may be pursued to support technical development and career progression.
Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting principles, and risk evaluation techniques. Ability to analyze policy structures, inspection reports, and exposure data to inform underwriting decisions. Knowledge of rating methodologies and market placement strategies.
