Alvarez & Marsal seeks an Associate for the Operations Group/Transformation Services. You will work on large PEPI engagements, designing and implementing cost-reduction initiatives across client portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• 2–4 years of professional industry or consulting experience implementing operating expense cost reduction programs.
• Depth in a particular industry vertical is a plus (e.g., industrial, business services, distribution, consumer products and retail).

Responsibilities

• Structure a performance improvement plan and manage the process through to completion.
• Identify opportunities to significantly reduce cost structure by changing leadership, staffing, and back‑office configurations and processes.
• Synthesize insights from data, opinions, or facts to improve EBITDA and operating efficiency.
• Implement programs to reduce cost structure, including role changes, supporting processes, and workforce reductions.
• Develop findings and make strategic recommendations.
• Gain hands-on experience through consulting projects in margins, sales & operations, supply chain, org structure, non-labor cost efficiency, and KPI management.
