Job summary

HarbourVest Partners in the United States seeks an Assistant Manager to join the Transfer Agency Oversight team. The role delivers operational services to clients and partners within a hybrid work arrangement, with structured remote days and in-office collaboration.

You will help scale global operations and contribute to a high-energy, inclusive environment. We look for a candidate with 2-4 years in financial services, a BA/BS or equivalent, and strong communication with external providers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in financial services.
• Bachelor degree in BA/BS or equivalent.
• Experience with external providers (fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, intermediaries).

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operational tasks related to TA processes.
• Support internal business teams to ensure the TA process aligns with global operating model standards.
• Join meetings with TAs, distributors, and other parties as needed.
• Act as a point of contact for the TA and HarbourVest operation teams.
• Assist in calculating distributor/intermediary fees and coordinating payments.
• Help maintain and update documentation of the operating model.

You will receive 18 remote workdays per quarter to use at your discretion, subject to manager approval. For example, you may choose to work in the office 4 days per week and take one remote day weekly (typically 13 weeks per quarter), leaving 5 additional remote days to be used as needed. • Prior experience withing with external providers (fund administrators, transfer agents, custodians, intermediaries)
• Attention to detail, organized, and committed to excellence. Able to multi-task and problem solve
• Excellent communication skills, in both written and verbal form

Education Preferred

• Bachelor of Arts or Science (BS/BA) or equivalent experience

Experience

• 2-4 years’ experience in financial services

Base Salary Range:

$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 This USD base salary range represents only one component of total compensation for this role and is provided in accordance with local requirements. This role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, which is determined based on individual and overall firm performance. In addition to salary and bonus eligibility, total compensation may include participation in long-term reward programs (typically for more senior-level roles). We also offer a comprehensive total rewards package that may include retirement contributions, health insurance, income protection, paid time off and leave benefits as well as well-being programs. Our total rewards offerings are influenced by several business factors, and eligibility for certain components will vary by position and geography. Please note the posted ranges do not apply outside the U.S. and should not be converted to other currencies as a proxy for compensation in other countries.
