Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks an Associate Test Engineer level 1 to join the Test and Evaluation Department. This on-site role at the Northridge, CA site involves lab duties and tests performed by following procedures to ensure product capability.

Responsibilities include coordinating with facilities and engineering teams, ensuring calibration compliance, and contributing to process improvements. A STEM degree and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
• Understanding of Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Ability to obtain an Active government issued Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Work with facilities to address lab environment issues.
• Collaborate with engineers to determine bench and equipment needs.
• Coordinate with Metrology to ensure calibration is up to date.
• Perform tests using Acceptance Test Procedures.
• Assist team in implementing process improvements.
• Communicate across team members to move products and overcome obstacles.
