Northrop Grumman in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a Laboratory Technician 2 to support test operations by managing inertial navigation laboratories, tracking equipment assets, and assisting with test preparation for complex systems. You will work closely with engineers to stage hardware, configure test setups, and ensure accurate data collection and efficient workflows in a hands-on lab environment.

This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a secret security clearance; on-site

Qualificações

• High school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in engineering lab, test environment, or manufacturing setting.
• Able to follow written procedures, engineering instructions, and safety guidelines.
• Understanding of hand tools, test equipment, and mechanical/electrical hardware.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for equipment, documentation, and test setups.
• Able to work in a lab or shop environment, including lifting and moving equipment.
• Effective communication and ability to work with engineers and technicians.
• Proficient with basic computer applications (Outlook, Excel, SharePoint).
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret security clearance.
• Ability to work onsite full-time in Woodland Hills, CA

Responsabilidades

• Assisting in managing and tracking test equipment assets, including inventory updates and documentation.
• Assist as a regular point of contact for routine engineering lab operations and readiness needs.
• Coordinate repair activities for malfunctioning or damaged test equipment, including documentation, service requests, and tracking to closure.
• Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair of tools and test equipment with internal and external resources.
• Prepare test setups and program testing, including staging hardware and configuring fixtures, cables, and instrumentation.
• Maintain organized test areas, ensuring tools and equipment are stored, labeled, and handled per procedures.
• Communicate equipment status, calibration schedules, and issues to engineers and test leads promptly.
• Collaborate with engineering, test, and program management to align lab capabilities with upcoming needs.
