Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a capable Team Member Lead to assist the Team Leader in daily operations, including profitability, merchandising, labor, and compliance. You will lead and develop Team Members, ensuring friendly, efficient service and adherence to SOPs across the department.

The role requires 18+ months of retail experience with 6+ months of supervisory responsibilities, adaptability to a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and strong communication skills to support

Qualifications

• Experience in retail is required with supervisory exposure.
• Ability to analyze sales reports and budgets.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains creative store layout and product merchandising.
• Works with Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Assists Team Leader in analysis of sales, reports, and labor.
• Assists team leader in annual sales and expense projections and budget preparation.
• Assists team leader with ordering and inventory management.
• Works with Team Leader to resolve team concerns or issues.
• Functions as point person and departmental lead in Team Leader absence.
• Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
• Fosters teamwork, mutual respect, and morale.
• Maintains awareness of customer flows and directs Team Members to delight customers.
• Trains and mentors Team Members to sustain a high-performance team.
• Communicates and maintains Team Member safety standards.
• Provides timely performance evaluations.
• Models WFM vision and goals.
