Responsibilities/Duties:
Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children. Assist the Head Start Teacher in planning and carrying out educational activities to meet the National Head Start Program Performance Standards and local plan.

Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3). Proof of education required to meet the qualifications for position.
FULL TIME, 37.5 hrs/wk- Working a school schedule (10 months) August-June annually, with an established summer break between school years.
Rate of Pay – Based on Education:
AA in ECE Degree – $18.62/hr
CDA – $16.99/hr
HS Diploma/GED – $16.43/hr
For those who possess Bilingual Abilities (Eng/Spanish) – 5% additional pay
